Batteries European Partnership Association (BEPA) and BATT4EU Partnership

To support Europe’s battery future, HighMag actively engages with BATT4EU, a key Co-Programmed Partnership under Horizon Europe.

BATT4EU’s mission is to establish a competitive, sustainable, and resilient European battery value chain, a goal that aligns with HighMag’s work in next-generation technology.
This partnership is a vital public-private collaboration. It unites the European Commission with BEPA (the Batteries European Partnership Association), which brings together leading research institutions and industry stakeholders to build a powerful ecosystem for battery innovation across Europe.

battery 2030

BATTERY 2030+

Battery 2030+ is a pioneering European research initiative dedicated to developing the batteries of the future.
The initiative focuses on creating green, high-performing, and long-lasting batteries, which are instrumental in Europe’s transition to a carbon-neutral society.

SISTER PROJECTS

TALISSMAN seeks to develop safe, high-performance, and sustainable lithium-sulfur batteries for aerospace and electromobility applications. By advancing gelled and solid-state battery concepts, TALISSMAN addresses key technical barriers to industrialisation. The project integrates eco-design, circularity, and recyclability principles, while ensuring compatibility with existing production lines.

ANGeLiC aims to develop breakthrough Generation 5 Lithium-Sulphur (Li-S) batteries specifically designed for heavy-duty vehicles and mobility applications. The project’s mission is to create safer, more sustainable, and cost-effective alternatives to current Li-ion technology.

RELATED PROJECTS

Hylist logo

HyLiST is a pioneering EU-funded project under the Horizon Europe programme, backed by CINEA – the European Climate, Infrastructure, and Environment Executive Agency.
With the global push for safer, high-performance, and sustainable battery technologies, HyLiST is at the forefront of innovation, driving the next generation of solid-state lithium-ion batteries (SSBs).

Streams

STREAMS will develop a portfolio of 12 scalable technologies for sustainable battery-grade precursors and active materials. These processes will utilize materials from primary and secondary sources, including recycled batteries and photovoltaic waste. STREAMS’ solutions will comply with EU environmental design requirements and conduct assessments for sustainability and circularity. The project aims to enhance sustainable battery technologies, boosting Europe’s resilience and competitiveness.
